I love trying out new ideas. I am always on the look out for new things to try.  This background technique, called stamp collage was introduced to me at our team meeting this month. I sponged white cardstock with several inks until the cardstock was saturated and then added several stamps to create the background.  I used white embossing powder to highlight the "swish" and the Love sentiment is stamped with white Stazon on a window sheet.
This special card is for my hubby for Valentine's.  Do you think it's too girly and mushy to give to a guy?

For one of my bestest friends' birthday this weekend I made her an uber-special card and matching gift box for her gift.
Pool party is my new favourite colour! I jus't can't use it enough.  The card is skinnier than a regular card to allow for all that crazy "flag action" on the side to still fit in a regular-sized envelope.
This card oozes with dimenson with the use of several embossing folders, Core'dination cardstock, Crochet Trim, and Pool Party Sale-a-Bration ribbon.   The Stamp is from the Vintage Verses set (also a Sale-a-Bration item) and was the perfect sentiment for a perfect friend :)

I was feeling a little paralyzed about making her a card as she stamps gorgeous cards and I wasn't feeling "up to the job." But this turned out great.  Do you ever feel like your work isn't good enough to give to others?

I try not to lead a very dramatic life. But once and awhile it feels good to be all-drama.  Here is a Valentine that I have been working on that let me get my "drama on".
I used the letters L O V E from Morning Post Alphabet (a personal favourite set) and heat embossed them with white embossing powder on black cardstock.  Then I accented with the frame from Papaya Collage with black embossing powder.  The background is the Travel Jounal wheel (notice how it coordinates with the Morning Post Alphabet) inked in black and stamped on Very Vanilla. Then I finished it with the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and a heart-shaped Bitty Button tied with a Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine.
So very pleased with my creation.  Now....who to spoil with this lovely card??

The sweetest treats for you, your friends, your children, and all their friends too!
The best news is that the bundle is only $7.25 and you get the Happy Heart single stamp along with 50 little treat bags to fill with your favourite treats! (Bundle Item: 132771)
Not only affordable but easy with the Full Heart punch ($22.95 Item: 119883), so that even the youngest members can help stamp, punch, fill, and tie.  They'll be so proud and pleased to hand these out to all their friends at school.
Hurry!  The bundle is only available until tomorrow!!
These will go come together so quickly and you will have so much fun that you may like to make a couple special Valentine cards too. Here is one for a special teacher or to send to Grandma.
This one was made by Angie Juda and I just {heart} it :)

Yep, I'm still naive enough to make New Years resolutions.
And this year is even worse!
I've made a new project. A new DAILY project.
That's right I a doing a Project 365 - where I will take a picture everyday and post about it.

My new blog is www.justforme365.wordpress.com
Check it out and let me know what you think of this silly idea.

Do you have anything new you are doing this year?
